How to Redeem Miles From a Discover Card

1)Use your Discover Card for purchases to earn miles. Miles by Discover Card gives you one mile for every dollar spent and double miles are offered on the first $3,000 in restaurant and travel-related purchases you make each year. Escape by Discover Card gives double miles for every dollar spent.
2)Visit discovercard.com and log in to your account to view your statement and see how many miles you have accrued. Your total miles are listed under “Current Miles Balance” on your statement.
3)Decide how you’d like to redeem your miles. Book a flight, hotel, cruise, rental car or other travel-related purchase with your Miles card and then request a credit to your account; Discover Card will credit your card by $100 for every 10,000 miles you redeem. You may also use your miles to earn gift cards to major retailers or a Discover gift card, redeem your miles for cash, or donate your miles to charity.
4)Select the option you’ve chosen on the Discover Card website, whether you’ve decided to request a travel credit, choose a gift card, request cash or donate miles to charity. Or, call 1-800-DISCOVER and let the operator know how you’d like to redeem your miles; he or she will complete the transaction for you over the phone.

There are no restrictions since you must pay for travel yourself using your Discover Card and then request an discover card credit; this means you can fly on any airline or book any hotel you like.
Keep your account active and pay on time; if you don’t use your card for 18 months or you don’t pay on time for two consecutive billing periods, your miles will be forfeited.
