Rewards

Cardholders will earn up to 5 percent cash back for purchases made on clothing and restaurants. But as an added bonus, members can earn up to 20 percent on purchases made on Discover’s exclusive shopping website, giving them a range of rewards options.

Balance Transfers

Balance transfers do not apply.

Rates

The Discover card will carry a zero percent annual percentage rate on purchases made during the first nine months of membership. After this period ends, a 12.99 percent to 19.99 percent APR will apply. Members will not be charged a sign-up or annual fee.

Who Should Apply

Students who use credit cards for the majority of their purchases should apply for the Discover card and get more money back on their purchases.

Credit Standing

A credit score of 700 or higher is required to secure this card.
